Couple of juicy rumors floating around on the internet the past few days.  I've read them from so many places that I'm just going to list them.

1. The screen is getting bigger.  Due largely in response to the massive screens by Android phones the company has ordered 4" screens rather than it's usual 3.5" screens.

2. Your old dock connectors won't work anymore because Apple wants to go with a smaller dock connector.  No idea why, because I love using my old stuff to play music with my new iPhone, maybe it's marketing so we all have to buy new speakers and docks.

3. The casing will be vastly different and made from liquid metal.  It is a combination of various metals to give it a sturdier and more scratch resistant surface.

4. The new thinner gorilla glass will be used so your touches will be even more sensitive and will provide better "gameplay" for gaming users.

5. iPhone 5 will also be thinner.

That's pretty much everything thats gained traction and it appears at least most of these have more than one source and are more than "rumors" although with Apple you never truly know. Comments (0)

In our latest string of success stories our new friend Tleatham has completed his own customer compute build.  A man who had never attempted the feat before came from CyberPowerPC where he was having a bad experience as most do.  Now he has forever changed the way he thinks about computers as we helped him every step of the way from picking parts, to installation, to testing, and now he'll never go back.

Diablo 3 Release Date

Quick reminder that Diablo III release date is coming up on May 15th.  There have been some very negative reviews of the open beta, but it seems that the developers insisted on making the normal difficulty beyond easy to draw in new players and then tweaking the difficulty up from there for the more hardcore players.

What seems strange is that 70% of the items in the game aren't even available on normal difficulty and can only be attained by playing on a higher difficulty.  It's a wild move, so lets see how it works out.

I'll buy it, but I don't think I'm going the pre-order route.  Comments (0)

EA / Bioware Does It AGAIN

So after a week where most couldn't get onto multiplayer we now have another debacle engrossing EA / Bioware.  It all started because they do these things called weekly challenges where they challenge the ME community to kill a certain number of badguys, like Phantoms or Brutes.  If the whole community kills the prescribed number of bad guys everyone gets what they call a "victory pack".  When you accumulate points in ME3 Multiplayer you use them to buy packs with new weapons or stuff like medi-gel (health restoration).  These victory packs are just a way of saying, "thanks for killing all of these monsters".

For the teams that make it through all 11 waves including extraction on Gold level difficulty those players also receive a commendation pack, which is the same as a victory pack, except it has better stuff in it.
