Well our demise was a little premature. MotoriousRacing has graciously decided to take over in what might or might not become a short absence. While I am moving, working my way into and hopefully through graduate school my abilities to maintain the site have become hampered. But like I said Motorious has accepted the challenge and we'll continue to do business as usual here.
Now to some updates:
The "NEW" site - Well it's on hold for the time being. For two reasons, namely time and secondly the release of Joomla wasn't great and really didn't change a TON from 1.5 so we'll wait until the big release this year.
NEW Stuff - I think I'm going to start a blog section on here or on the forums for like a daily or weekly update into some of my life and the inner workings of this site. In my head it will simply be the struggles of an ordinary man or a group of ordinary people as we work through our lives and try to make this a better place for everything. |

In an ongoing effort to compete against Facebook and Twitter Google+ has hit an epic milestone of 40 million users. While this isn't blowing up the global internet scene it is very promising for a company that saw only 10 millions users at the same time last year.
So what's different about Google+? First they allow you to filter content much more independently and into circles that you create to itemize your friends and family in the same way you might organize your pantry. The good stuff is up front and that crazy aunt is way in the back.
Facebook relies on the purchase of fake facebook coins while Google is actually courting business that will drive real money including placed like Groupon, LivingSocial, and FourSquare.
Plus it doesn't hurt that Google is the #1 selling ad space on the web.

A man who can only be called a visionary has died. Steve Jobs the man who has an almost cult like following from his die hard Apple fans proved to the world that you can still be a small company while being a commercial success. Jobs once considered leaving the computer world and becoming a Buddhist Monk, but luckily for us changed his mind and brought forth a company that has more money than the United States government.
Our hearts and prayers go out to the Jobs family and just as he revolutionized the technology industry, we hope to remain just a vigilant fans and wielders of the torch that Jobs passes to all of us who call ourselves computer enthusiasts.

Update: Forums are back online. Yikes.
Well in what is being called the world's largest hack the company that hosted this site had a Data Center intrusion that caused this site and 699,000 other sites to become temporarily disabled.
What happened? A company that uses InMotionHosting and is connected to their network was made vulnerable and using that the hacker known as Tiger M@te out of Bangladesh was able to remotely change CPanel passwords. After this was completed his automated program replaced every index.php or index.htm file with his own special version.
InMotionHosting is working on a fix for the exploit and has created an automated program to bring out index files back online. Fortunately I already had a backup and managed to get this thing back up. I'm currently working on the forums now.
Should be back up soon... well as soon as I dig out my backups and try to find the latest edition until InMotionHosting gets their prior day backup going.
No user passwords were stolen although InMotionHosting conceded that had the hacker wanted them he could have simply taken them after he gained access. Apparently destruction wasn't his intent so much as his goal of hacking 700,000 sites all at once.
I'll continue to monitor the situation and keep you updated.

Still working on it as usual. I thought I'd throw a little teaser your way so you could see what the basic look of the new site. Currently the site has essentially ZERO content other than the few things we've added, but it's going great and were still pushing along each day.
